A food delivery service website in Yerevan has one job: let a hungry person order in under two minutes on a phone. Everything else, from design to the about page, comes second. Here is what such a site needs, what it costs at Kinto and how to avoid the usual mistakes.
Why your own site if you are on delivery apps
Delivery aggregators bring new customers, and many businesses in Yerevan start there. The downside is the commission on every order and the fact that the customer belongs to the app, not to you. Your own site works alongside the apps: regular customers order directly, you keep the margin and you can reach them with offers later.

What the site needs
Menu that loads fast. Categories at the top, dishes with a photo, weight or portion, price in drams and an "Add" button. Photos must be compressed, or the menu will stall on mobile data.
Cart that stays visible. A floating cart with the total and the minimum order hint: "Add 1,500 AMD more for free delivery".
Delivery zones. Yerevan districts differ in distance and traffic. Each zone gets its own minimum order, fee and time estimate. More on this in our article about delivery zones.
Checkout in one screen. Name, phone, address with entrance and floor, delivery time (as soon as possible or a specific slot), payment method, comment.
Orders to Telegram. The kitchen sees each order as one message with all details. No need to watch a dashboard.
Languages. Customers in Yerevan order in Armenian, Russian and English. A three-language menu costs $600 at Kinto.
Menu site or full online store
| Option | What you get | Price at Kinto | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing with menu and order form | One page, menu, form to Telegram | from $700 | about 6 days |
| Menu website | Categories, dish pages, cart, zones, order to Telegram | from $1,800 | about 12 days |
| Online store | Full cart, accounts, promo codes, online payment, order history | from $4,000 | about 22 days |
| Online payment | Card payment through local providers | $600 | added |
| Telegram bot for repeat orders | Reorder in a few taps | from $500 | added |
Small kitchens with a short menu often start with the menu website. When the volume grows, the same design can grow into a full store.

Payment options
Cash to the courier is still common, and many customers like card payment to the courier too. Online payment helps with prepaid orders, large catering orders and fewer cancelled orders. In Armenia card payments go through local payment providers; we connect the one that fits your bank. See accepting payments online in Armenia.
Telegram bot for regulars
Regular customers order the same things. A Telegram bot lets them repeat their last order, see today's specials and get a message when the order is on its way. Read more in Telegram bot for food delivery.
What slows delivery sites down
- Huge photos. A menu with 80 uncompressed photos takes ages to load on a phone.
- Registration before ordering. Most people leave. Let them order as a guest.
- Hidden delivery fees. Show the fee and minimum order before checkout, not after.
- No working hours. If the kitchen closes at 23:00, the site should say so and offer the next morning.
- Stop-list not updated. Ordering a dish that is not available and getting a call to change it annoys people. The admin panel should let you hide a dish in one click.
Being found in search and maps
People search "food delivery Yerevan", "pizza delivery Arabkir" or the name of a dish. Separate pages for main categories, a clear address of your kitchen, a Google Business Profile and fast loading all help. Check our notes on local SEO in Yerevan.
