Local customers in Armenia are used to paying with Idram and bank cards. If your checkout offers only "pay on delivery", some of them will order elsewhere. If it offers only foreign payment options, many locals will not trust it. The answer is to support the methods your customers already use.
How online payment works on a website
- The customer fills the cart or picks a service on your site.
- The site creates an order and sends the customer to the payment provider's secure page.
- The customer pays with Idram or a card on that page.
- The provider sends a confirmation back to your site.
- The order is marked as paid and you get a Telegram notification.
Card data never touches your own server. That is safer for you and the customer.
What you need on your side
| Requirement | Who handles it |
|---|---|
| Registered business | You |
| Merchant agreement with the provider | You, with the provider |
| Integration keys and settings | Provider gives, we configure |
| Website checkout and order logic | Kinto |
| Test payments and launch | Together |
The agreement process and its conditions depend on the provider and your business type, so we do not quote fees or timelines that are not ours to promise.
Which methods to offer
- Idram for local customers who prefer it.
- Bank cards through a local acquiring provider.
- Cash or transfer on delivery for those who still prefer it.
Showing familiar options next to the "Pay" button reassures people more than any badge.
Where payments make sense
- Online stores with standard products and daily orders, see online store.
- Deposits for bookings or custom orders, like cakes or events.
- Services with fixed prices, like tickets, courses or consultations.
- Telegram bots, where payment can happen inside the chat.
For a catalog with personal confirmation of each order, online payment can wait.
Foreign customers
Tourists and foreign clients usually pay with international cards. Whether that works depends on your acquiring provider's settings. Ask about it when you sign the agreement.
What it costs at Kinto
- Payment integration: $600.
- Included in scope when we build an online store ($4,000).
- Provider fees: per your agreement with them.
The development price is fixed in the contract before work starts. See all prices and website development.
