Adding a map on a website takes five minutes. Making sure people actually reach your door without calling you from the street is a different task. In Yerevan, where courtyards, entrances from the back and buildings with the same number on two streets are common, good directions save you a lot of phone calls.
The map alone is not enough
An embedded map shows a pin. It does not show that your entrance is from the courtyard, that the sign is small, or that the shop is on the second floor above a pharmacy. A complete "how to find us" block has:
- Address in three languages: Armenian, Russian and English spellings of the street can differ, so show all three.
- Landmarks: "next to the post office", "opposite the park entrance".
- Entrance photo: a daytime photo of the door or building, taken from the street.
- Floor and door: "2nd floor, door on the left".
- Parking: where to leave a car and whether it is paid.
- Public transport: nearest metro station or bus stop.
- Opening hours right next to the address.

Route buttons beat the embedded map
On a phone, most people want to open their own navigation app. Give them buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Open in Google Maps | Opens the place card with reviews and route |
| Open in Yandex Maps | Opens the route in Yandex, popular with Russian speakers |
| Call | For those who still prefer to ask |
| Telegram | Ask a quick question in a chat |
Link to your place card, not just to coordinates. The card shows your name, photos and reviews, which builds trust before the visit.
Keep it fast
A live map widget loads a lot of code. On a slow mobile connection it can delay the whole page. The common solution:
- Show a static map image with your pin.
- Load the live map only when the visitor taps it.
- Keep the route buttons visible at all times.
This keeps the contacts page light and still gives full functionality.
Where to put the map
- Contacts page: full block with map, photos and all details.
- Footer: short address and a "Route" link on every page.
- First screen for local businesses: a line like "Kentron, 5 minutes from Republic Square" helps people decide quickly.
- Booking confirmation: when a client books through the site or a Telegram bot, the confirmation message should include the address and route link.
Several locations
If you have two or more branches, give each one its own block or page with its own map, hours and phone. A visitor should be able to choose the nearest branch in one tap. Separate branch pages also help you appear in local search for each district.
Maps and local search
The embedded map is not a ranking factor by itself. What matters for local search:
- The same name, address and phone on the site, in your Google Business Profile and in directories.
- LocalBusiness structured data with address, coordinates and hours.
- Reviews and photos in your map listings.
See Google Business Profile in Armenia and local SEO in Yerevan for the details, and schema markup for business for structured data.
Cost
A contacts block with map, route buttons and structured data is part of every Kinto website, with no extra charge.
| What | Price at Kinto | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page with contacts block | from $700 | about 6 days |
| Website with sections and branch pages | from $1,800 | about 12 days |
| Extra language version | from $600 | added |
Quick checklist
| Check | Good if |
|---|---|
| Address | Same on site, maps and Instagram |
| Entrance photo | Taken in daylight, from the street |
| Route buttons | Open the place card, not raw coordinates |
| Mobile speed | Contacts page loads quickly on mobile data |
| Hours | Next to the address, including holidays |
Next step
If clients still call you asking "where exactly are you?", your site needs a better contacts block. Write to @kinto_am on Telegram or leave a request on the website development page. We reply within 15 minutes, 10:00 to 20:00 Yerevan time.
