When someone in Yerevan searches "dentist near me" or "car wash Arabkir", Google shows a map with a handful of businesses before any regular results. Getting into that map is often worth more than the first spot below it. The way in is a Google Business Profile.
What the profile gives you
- A pin on Google Maps with your name and category.
- Hours, phone, address and a "Website" button.
- Photos, reviews and answers to questions.
- A place in the local "map pack" for nearby searches.
It is free, and for many local businesses it is the single most visible piece of their online presence.

Setting it up properly
- Use your real business name. No keywords stuffed into the name; that can get the profile suspended.
- Choose a precise primary category. "Nail salon" beats "Beauty".
- Enter the exact address as people know it, and place the pin at the real entrance. In Yerevan courtyards this matters.
- Add hours, including holidays.
- Write a short, factual description of what you do and for whom.
- Upload real photos: entrance, interior, products, team at work.
- Verify using the method Google offers you.
Why the website matters for the map
Google cross-checks information. When your profile says one thing and your website says the same, trust goes up. When the hours on the site differ from the profile, customers and Google both get confused.
| Must match | On the profile | On the website |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Exact business name | Same name in header and footer |
| Address | Full address and pin | Same address, map embed |
| Phone or contact | Main number | Same number |
| Hours | Regular and holiday | Same hours |
| Services | Categories and services list | Pages or sections for each |
Our SEO setup ($400) adds structured data (LocalBusiness markup) to the website with the same details, so search engines connect the two clearly. Read more on website development.

Languages
Armenia's customers search in Armenian, Russian and English. Google lets you add your business information once, and customers see it in their interface language, but your description and posts are in the language you write them in. A multilingual website fills that gap: each visitor finds the full information in their language.
Reviews without tricks
Ask satisfied customers for a review right after a good experience, with a direct link. Reply to every review, including negative ones, calmly and briefly. Never buy reviews or post them yourself. It is against Google's rules and customers notice.
Common mistakes we see
- A profile created years ago by someone who left the company, and nobody has access.
- Wrong pin location, sending people to the wrong street.
- A "Website" button that points to an Instagram page with no prices.
- Hours not updated after a schedule change.
The first one is common: always make sure the profile belongs to an account the owner controls. The same logic applies to your site: at Kinto the domain and all accounts are registered in the client's name.
