Tourists in Yerevan decide where to eat in minutes, usually on a phone, often in a language that is not Armenian. If they cannot find the menu, the price level and the address quickly, they go to the next place on the map. A restaurant website has one job: turn that short search into a visit or a booking.
What guests look for
From the first screen a guest wants to understand:
- What kind of food you serve and the price level.
- Where you are and how to get there.
- When you are open.
- How to book a table or order delivery.
Everything else (the story of the chef, the interior, events) is nice to have and can come lower on the page.

Structure of a good restaurant website
| Section | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| First screen with photo, cuisine and a booking button | The guest decides in seconds |
| Menu with prices | The most visited page |
| Location, map and hours | Removes the last doubt |
| Booking form or Telegram button | Turns interest into a visit |
| Photos of food and interior | Builds appetite and trust |
| Events, banquets, delivery | Extra income |
The menu: web page, not PDF
A PDF menu is the most common mistake. It loads slowly on mobile internet, cannot be searched by Google and is hard to update. A web menu:
- opens instantly and is easy to scroll on a phone;
- can be shown in several languages;
- can be updated in minutes when prices change;
- appears in search for dishes and cuisine.
For table service, a QR menu adds convenience. We built qarta.wse.am, a QR menu for restaurants in Yerevan in four languages, and the same approach can be part of your website.

Bookings that do not get lost
A phone number alone means missed calls during busy hours. A booking form or a Telegram bot collects the date, time, number of guests and contact, and sends it to the manager instantly. The manager confirms in one message. No paper notebook, no lost requests.
Languages for Yerevan
Restaurants in the centre see guests from many countries. A practical set is English and Russian, with Armenian for local guests and local search. Each language should have its own address so that Google shows the right version. See our guide to multilingual websites.
Search: how guests find you
- Fill in your Google Business Profile with the same name, address and hours as on the website.
- Use clear titles like "Armenian restaurant in Kentron" in the right language.
- Add the menu as text, not only images.
- Make the website fast: compressed photos and no heavy video on the first screen.

Photos that sell food
Guests eat with their eyes first. You do not need an expensive photo shoot to start, but you do need honest photos of real dishes in good light. A few practical rules:
- Shoot near a window in daylight, not under yellow lamps.
- Show the dish from the angle a guest sees it at the table.
- Keep the background simple: a table, a plate, maybe a glass.
- Use the same style for the whole menu so it looks consistent.
On the website, photos should be compressed so the page stays fast on mobile internet. A good build does this automatically.
Banquets, events and delivery
Many restaurants earn a large part of their income from private events and delivery, yet hide this information on a page nobody finds. Give each a clear block with:
- what you offer (capacity, set menus, delivery area);
- prices or "from" prices;
- a separate request form or Telegram button with the right questions (date, number of guests, budget).
A request for a banquet is worth much more than a single booking, so make it easy to send.
What happens after a booking
The best systems do three things automatically: the manager gets the booking in Telegram, the guest gets a confirmation, and the table is marked in your booking list. If you use a CRM or a table management system, the website can send data there as well. See CRM integration.
Mistakes to avoid
- A beautiful video on the first screen that takes ten seconds to load.
- Menu without prices.
- Old opening hours that differ from Google Maps.
- A booking form that sends to an email nobody reads on Friday evening.
- Text only in one language in a tourist area.
Key takeaways
- Guests need the menu, prices, location, hours and a booking button within seconds.
- Use a web menu, not a PDF, so it is fast on phones and visible in search.
- English and Russian versions are essential in tourist areas, Armenian for locals.
- Send bookings and banquet requests to the manager's Telegram instantly.
- Keep hours and contacts identical on the website and Google Maps.
- Honest photos of real dishes in daylight sell better than heavy video.
