Delivery aggregators are great at bringing new customers. They are less great at letting you keep them. Once a customer has tried your food, a Telegram bot gives them a direct way to order again.
What the bot does
- Menu with categories, photos and prices.
- Cart: add, remove, change quantities.
- Address and district, with a saved address for next time.
- Delivery time: as soon as possible or a chosen slot.
- Payment: on delivery, transfer, or card online.
- Order confirmation to the customer and a full order to the kitchen.

Most delivery businesses in Yerevan use both: aggregator for discovery, own bot for loyalty. A small card in each delivery bag with a QR code to the bot is the bridge.
Designing the ordering flow
Ordering food is impulsive. Every extra step costs orders.
- Menu opens with the most popular items first.
- One tap to add, a running total always visible.
- Address once, remembered afterwards.
- Phone shared with one tap from Telegram.
- Confirmation with the expected time.
A repeat order should take under a minute.
Delivery zones and fees
Yerevan districts differ in distance and traffic. The bot can ask for the district and apply your rules: free delivery above a certain amount in nearby districts, a fee in others, or "pickup only" beyond a limit. You set the rules; the bot applies them consistently.
Notifications
The kitchen gets the order instantly. Optionally the customer gets status updates: accepted, cooking, on the way. That reduces "where is my order?" calls.
Payments
Online card payment costs $600 to add. Options depend on your bank or payment provider and are agreed before work starts. Many customers in Armenia still prefer cash or transfer on delivery, so keep those available.
Website as the storefront
Search engines do not index a bot. To be found by people searching "food delivery Arabkir" or "pizza delivery Yerevan", you need a website with your menu and delivery areas. Its "Order" button can open the bot. For a full web shop with checkout, see online store.
