A car rental website in Yerevan serves two main groups: tourists landing at Zvartnots who want to drive to Sevan, Dilijan or Tatev, and relocants and residents who need a car for a few weeks or months. Both are careful with money and suspicious of hidden conditions. A site that shows the car, the full price and the rules openly wins against a cheaper-looking offer with question marks.
What renters look for
| Question in the renter's head | Where the site answers it |
|---|---|
| Is this car real and in good shape? | Fleet card with real photos, year, mileage range |
| How much will I pay in total? | Daily price by rental length, extras, deposit |
| What do I need to rent? | Documents and age requirements in plain words |
| Can you bring it to the airport or hotel? | Delivery options and their price |
| What if something happens? | Insurance, accident procedure, roadside contact |
| Can I drive to Georgia? | Cross-border rules, if you allow it |
The fleet catalog
Each car gets a card with the same structure, so renters can compare:
- real photos of that car, outside and inside, not manufacturer images;
- model, year, transmission, fuel, seats, luggage space;
- daily price for 1-3 days, 4-7 days, 8+ days and monthly if you offer it;
- deposit amount;
- a button "Choose dates".
Filters by class (economy, SUV, minivan), transmission and price help when you have more than ten cars. Search and filters cost $400 at Kinto.
Prices and seasons
Rental prices in Yerevan rise in summer and around holidays. Do not hide this: show the season next to the price, or a small table with high and low season rates. Renters accept seasonal pricing when they see it upfront. They do not accept a different price at handover.
Show prices in dram, with an approximate dollar or euro price for foreigners. Say clearly what is included: insurance level, mileage limit, second driver, child seat, delivery.
Documents and rules
Write the rules in short lines, in every language of the site:
- minimum age and driving experience;
- which driving licenses you accept, and whether foreigners need an international permit, as you require;
- deposit amount and how it is returned;
- fuel policy;
- mileage limits, if any;
- whether trips outside Armenia are allowed.
These lines prevent most arguments at handover. If you are unsure how to phrase requirements, check them with your lawyer rather than copying another company's text.
Booking: request or instant
Small and mid-size companies usually do best with a booking request: car or class, dates, pickup place, contact. The request reaches the manager in Telegram in seconds, the manager checks the car is free and confirms. This avoids double bookings that happen when an online calendar is not updated. Our guide to online booking on a website explains when instant booking makes sense.
After confirmation, a booking prepayment can be taken online, by card or Idram, see how to accept online payments in Armenia. The security deposit is usually handled at handover.
Airport and hotel delivery
Many tourists want the car waiting at Zvartnots when they land. Make this an option in the booking form: flight number, arrival time, and the delivery fee. Ask for the flight number so the manager can track delays. For hotel delivery, ask for the hotel name and preferred time.
Languages
Renters come from Russia, Europe, the Middle East, India and the diaspora. English and Russian versions are almost mandatory, Armenian is useful for local and corporate clients. Real pages per language, not a translation widget, also help you appear in search in each language. See multilingual website in Armenia.
Long-term rentals
Relocants and remote workers often rent for one to three months while they decide whether to buy a car. A separate page for monthly rentals, with monthly prices and conditions, catches a steady group of customers that tourists alone do not provide.
Driving in Armenia: a page renters will thank you for
Foreign renters have practical questions that have nothing to do with your fleet: how mountain roads are in winter, where to fill up, how parking works in the center of Yerevan, how long it takes to drive to Tatev or Dilijan. A short "Driving in Armenia" page with honest, practical answers is useful to them and good for search, because tourists look for exactly this information. Keep it factual and updated, and link it from every car page.
Corporate and long-term clients
Companies with visiting staff, film crews and event organizers rent several cars at once and come back regularly. A small corporate section with a request form (number of cars, dates, invoicing needs) makes it easy for them to contact you and signals that you can handle more than one booking.
Trust details
- company name, office address and working hours;
- a phone and messenger that answer 24/7 for renters on the road;
- what happens in case of an accident or breakdown, step by step;
- photos of the handover process: car inspection, photos of existing scratches.
