A Telegram bot for a fitness club does the work that usually falls on the front desk and the club's Instagram direct messages: booking trial classes, signing people up for group sessions, reminding them to come, and telling everyone when a class moves. In Armenia most members already have Telegram on their phones, so they do not need to install a separate app.
What the bot handles
- Trial class booking. The main entry point for new clients: pick a class type, a day and share a phone number.
- Group class signup. The schedule for today and the week, with free places for each class.
- Waiting list. If a class is full, the member joins the list and gets a message when a place frees up.
- Reminders. A message a couple of hours before class, with a "Can't come" button that frees the spot.
- Schedule changes. Cancelled class or a replacement trainer: everyone booked gets a message.
- Membership renewal. A reminder before the membership ends, with a payment link if payments are connected.
- Questions. Prices, hours, freezing rules, what to bring, with a "Talk to a manager" button.

Why a bot instead of a club app
| Criterion | Separate app | Telegram bot |
|---|---|---|
| Installation | Member downloads and registers | Opens in Telegram with one tap |
| Notifications | Often turned off | Arrive like normal messages |
| Development cost | High | Bot at Kinto from $500 |
| Updates | App store releases | Changes go live right away |
| Languages | Separate setup | Armenian, Russian, English in one bot |
For a single club or a small network, a bot covers what most members actually use an app for: booking, reminders and news.
Fewer empty spots in group classes
Group classes with limited places often have no-shows while other people could not book. Reminders with a one-tap cancel, plus a waiting list, help fill those places. The coach sees the final list before class, and the front desk does not need to call anyone.

Typical setup and cost
| Feature | Value for the club | Price at Kinto |
|---|---|---|
| Booking bot with reminders and waiting list | Fewer calls, fuller classes | from $500 |
| Online payment for memberships | Members pay without visiting the desk | from $600 |
| CRM integration | Attendance and membership history | from $700 |
| Club website with schedule and memberships | Search traffic, trust | from $1,800, about 12 days |
| Armenian, Russian and English | One bot for all members | from $600 |
The final price is fixed in the contract. The bot is registered to your club, not to the developer. More on Telegram bot development.
Bot and website together
New members usually find a club through Google, Google Maps or Instagram. The website shows memberships, prices, trainers and photos; the bot handles bookings and everything after the first visit. Put the bot button on the site, in your Google Business Profile and in your Instagram profile. See website for a fitness club in Yerevan and website for a gym.
Messages members actually want
Do not turn the bot into a spam channel. Members accept:
- reminders about their own bookings,
- changes to classes they booked,
- membership expiry reminders,
- occasional news about new classes or holiday hours.
Daily motivational posts belong in a channel, not in the bot.
What the staff sees
Requests from the bot arrive in a closed Telegram chat for managers and coaches. A trial class booking shows the name, phone, class and day, with buttons to confirm or suggest another time. Before each group class, the coach can open the list of who is booked. Membership questions go to the manager on duty with the full history of the conversation, so nobody asks the member to repeat themselves.
Ideas for a second stage
Once the basic bot works, clubs often add:
- Personal training requests with a choice of trainer.
- Freezing a membership through a form, confirmed by a manager.
- Guest passes that a member can send to a friend.
- Feedback after the first class, a short question with buttons, so managers can follow up with anyone unhappy.
Each of these is a small addition, priced separately and fixed in the contract before work starts.
Practical tips
- Make "Book a trial class" the first button for new users.
- Show trainer names and levels in the schedule; people choose by both.
- Set the cancellation deadline in the bot, for example two hours before class.
- Let the manager reply to questions from the bot's staff chat, so nothing is lost.
- Offer the language choice once at the start.
