"Should we make a bot or a website?" is one of the first questions small businesses in Yerevan ask. The honest answer depends on where your clients come from.
Where your clients come from
- New clients usually find you through Google, Google Maps, Yandex or a recommendation, then look you up. They land on a website or a map profile.
- Returning clients already know you. They want to book again quickly, often straight from your Instagram or a saved chat.
- Tourists and newcomers search in English or Russian and want prices and location before anything else.
Each group prefers a different door.
Side by side
| Website booking form | Telegram bot | |
|---|---|---|
| Found through Google search | Yes | Rarely |
| Speed for a repeat booking | Good | Very fast |
| Reminders before the visit | Needs extra setup | Built in |
| Shows prices, photos, reviews | Very well | Limited |
| Works without Telegram | Yes | No |
| Kinto price | $700 landing page | $500 bot |
When a bot alone is enough
- Your clients come almost entirely from Instagram and word of mouth.
- You mainly need to stop answering "are you free tomorrow at 5?" by hand.
- You already have a decent Google Maps profile.
A Telegram bot then saves hours per week for little money.
When a website matters more
- You want new clients from search.
- Your service needs explanation: prices, process, before and after photos.
- You serve tourists or English-speaking expats who search on Google.
A landing page answers those questions and converts visitors into bookings.
Why most businesses end up with both
The website brings people in; the bot makes booking effortless. The "Book" button on the site can open the bot, and the bot can link back to the site for prices. Requests from both land in one Telegram chat, so the administrator does not need to check two places.
A note on language
Whatever you choose, let clients book in their language. A bot can switch between Armenian, Russian and English automatically; a website can have three language versions. That alone removes a lot of friction for visitors.
What it costs to start
- Bot only: $500.
- Landing page with booking form: $700.
