The site is live, the owner shared it with friends, and a week later there are zero requests. It is a frustrating moment, and the instinct is to blame the design. Usually the cause is simpler. If you see no leads from website traffic after launch, go through this checklist in order. Each step either finds the problem or rules it out.
The three possible causes
| Cause | How it looks | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Requests are lost | Visitors exist, analytics shows clicks, but nothing arrives | Forms, Telegram delivery, buttons |
| Nobody is visiting | Analytics shows very few visits | Indexing, maps, links, ads |
| Visitors are not convinced | Visits are fine, people leave quickly | First screen, prices, trust |
Start from the top. Fixing the offer is pointless if the form sends requests nowhere.
Day 1: test the request path
This is the most common problem and the cheapest to fix.
- On your phone, turn off Wi-Fi.
- Open the site from a link, as a customer would.
- Fill in the form with your real phone number and send it.
- Check that the request arrives in the Telegram chat within a minute.
- Tap every Telegram, WhatsApp and Viber button. Does each one open the right chat?
- Tap the phone number. Does the dialer open with the correct number?
- Repeat on a second phone, ideally an iPhone and an Android.
If something fails, fix it today. Our guide on getting website leads to Telegram explains how the delivery should work. Compare with the website launch checklist to make sure nothing was skipped before going live.
Day 2: check that you can see visitors
Open your analytics. If it is not installed, install it now. Look at:
- Total visits for the week.
- Sources: direct, search, social, ads.
- Pages viewed and time on site.
- Events: form submissions, messenger clicks.
If analytics is installed but shows no events, set them up. Without them you are guessing. The basics are in Google Analytics for small business.
Day 3: are search engines and maps seeing you?
A new site is not in Google immediately.
- Search for "site:yourdomain.am". If nothing appears, the site is not indexed yet.
- Add the site to Google Search Console and submit the sitemap.
- Check that robots.txt does not block everything (a common leftover from development).
- Put the site link in your Google Maps listing. For many local businesses in Yerevan, maps bring the first visitors long before search does. See Google Business Profile in Armenia.
Search traffic grows over weeks and months. Do not expect it in week one.
Day 4: send the traffic you already have
The fastest visitors are people who already know you:
- Link in Instagram bio and in story highlights.
- Pinned post in your Telegram channel.
- Signature in WhatsApp business profile.
- A message to existing clients with something useful on the site, such as a new price list or booking.
If you run ads, check that they point to the right page and that the targeting matches your city and language.
Day 5: look at the first screen with fresh eyes
Show the site on your phone to someone who does not know your business. Give them five seconds, then ask:
- What does this business do?
- Where is it?
- What should I press to contact them?
If they cannot answer all three, the first screen needs work.
Day 6: prices, trust and friction
- Are prices or at least "from" prices visible? Missing prices send people to competitors.
- Are there real photos of your place, team or work?
- Is the form short: name, contact, one question?
- Is there a messenger option for people who do not want to fill in forms?
- Are the language versions complete? A half-translated English page drives away tourists and relocants.
Day 7: write down what you found
| Check | Result | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Test request arrives | ||
| All messenger buttons work | ||
| Analytics events set up | ||
| Site indexed | ||
| Linked from maps and socials | ||
| First screen passes the 5-second test | ||
| Prices and photos visible |
Fix the items in order and give the site two to three weeks of real traffic before judging.
When to ask for help
If the request path works, traffic arrives and there are still no requests after a few weeks, the problem is in the offer or the audience. That is a conversation about your service, not only about the site. Kinto can audit the request path, indexing and analytics; analytics setup starts at $500. More on the website development page.
