Most small online stores in Armenia have the same problem with product pages: a title, a price, a photo and either nothing or a block copied from the supplier. Good product descriptions SEO fixes both search and sales at once, because the text that ranks is the text that answers what a buyer wants to know.
Why copied text does not work
When you paste the manufacturer's description, the same paragraph exists on the brand's site, on large marketplaces and on every other reseller. Search engines pick one of them to show, and it is rarely a small store in Yerevan. Buyers also get nothing new: no word about delivery, local sizes, or who the product is really for.
Use supplier text as a source of facts. Write the page yourself.
A template for every product
| Field | What to write | Example idea |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Type + key feature + brand or model | "Wool blanket 150x200, handwoven" |
| Opening line | Who it is for and what problem it solves | "Warm enough for unheated rooms in Yerevan winters" |
| Key benefits | 3 to 5 short points | Material, size, care, warranty |
| Specs table | Exact numbers | Dimensions, weight, material, origin |
| Use and care | How to use, wash, store | Washing temperature |
| Delivery | Yerevan, regions, pickup, timing | "Delivered in Yerevan the next day" |
| FAQ | 2 or 3 real questions | "Does it fit a single bed?" |
The opening line matters most. It appears in previews, it answers "is this for me", and it is where the main keyword sits naturally.
Find the words buyers use
Before writing, check how people actually search:
- Type the product into Google and look at autocomplete suggestions.
- Read questions customers send you in Instagram and Telegram.
- Look at how people describe the product in reviews.
People rarely search for "premium textile solution". They search "warm blanket", "blanket for double bed", "wool blanket price Yerevan". Use their words in the title and first sentence.
Writing in three languages
A store in Armenia often needs Armenian, Russian and English. Rules that keep quality up:
- Translate facts, not sentences. Sizes, materials and prices stay exact; the phrasing adapts.
- Check search words per language. A Russian buyer and an English buyer may use different terms for the same product.
- Keep units consistent. Centimeters and kilograms everywhere, prices in AMD.
- Do not leave a version half done. A product with full Russian text and a two-word English page looks abandoned.
Our multilingual website guide explains how to organize the language versions so search engines index each one.
Category-specific tips
| Category | What buyers need most |
|---|---|
| Clothing | Size chart with cm, fabric, how it fits, model's height |
| Cosmetics | Ingredients, skin type, volume, expiry |
| Food and gifts | Weight, shelf life, packaging, gift wrapping, delivery timing |
| Electronics | Compatibility, warranty, what's in the box, plug type |
| Furniture | Exact dimensions, assembly, delivery to the apartment |
| Handmade | Who made it, how long it takes, how each piece may differ |
Technical details that help search
- Unique page title and description for each product, not the store name repeated.
- Image alt text describing the product in words.
- Product schema markup with price, availability and reviews, so search can show rich results. See schema markup for business.
- Clean URLs like /blanket-wool-150x200/, not /product?id=48213.
- No duplicate pages for each color if the text is the same; use variants.
Mistakes to avoid
- Keyword stuffing: "buy blanket Yerevan blanket price blanket Armenia". It reads badly and does not help.
- Empty descriptions on hundreds of products. Start with your 20 best sellers.
- Promises you cannot keep, such as delivery times your courier cannot meet.
- Ignoring mobile: long paragraphs without breaks are hard to read on a phone.
Where to start this week
- Pick your 20 best-selling products.
- Collect questions buyers ask about them.
- Rewrite titles and opening lines with the words buyers use.
- Add specs tables and a delivery line.
- Repeat for the next 20.
