FAQ block on a website: objections and SEO

In short

A good FAQ block answers the real questions and doubts customers have before buying, in short direct answers. It reduces repetitive calls, increases requests and, with FAQ structured data, helps search engines and AI assistants quote your answers.

Updated:

Every business answers the same questions again and again: "How much is it?", "How long does it take?", "Do you deliver to my area?", "What if I don't like it?". An FAQ block puts those answers on the page, where customers find them before they decide whether to contact you at all.

FAQ as objection handling

Think of FAQ not as "information" but as a list of reasons people hesitate. Each answer removes one doubt. Typical doubts for a service business in Yerevan:

  • Price. "How much does it cost, really?"
  • Time. "How soon can you do it?"
  • Risk. "What if the result is bad?"
  • Effort. "What do I need to prepare?"
  • Trust. "Who are you, and who owns what after we finish?"

If your FAQ answers these honestly, the remaining visitors are ready to talk.

Where to find the right questions

Do not invent questions. For two weeks, write down every question you get in Telegram, Instagram and on the phone. Group them. The ones that appear most often go into the FAQ. This is also the language your customers use, which is exactly the language they type into search.

How to write answers

  1. Answer first. "Yes, we deliver to Arabkir, usually the same day."
  2. Add one detail. "Orders after 18:00 are delivered the next morning."
  3. Point to the next step if useful. "Choose your district in the cart to see the price."

Avoid "It depends on many factors". If it depends, say on what, and give a range.

Weak answer Strong answer
"Prices depend on the project." "A one-page site costs $700. Larger sites start at $1,800."
"We work fast." "A landing page takes about 6 working days."
"Contact us for details." "Write to us in Telegram, we reply within 15 minutes 10:00-20:00."

FAQ and search

People often type full questions into Google: "how long does sofa dry cleaning take", "do I need a website for my cafe". A page that contains that question and a clear answer has a better chance to match. FAQ structured data labels the questions and answers for search engines.

AI assistants like ChatGPT search and Google AI overviews also look for short, direct answers they can quote. A good FAQ is one of the easiest places for them to find yours.

Placement and design

  • On service pages, put the FAQ near the bottom, right above the request form.
  • Use an accordion: questions visible, answers open on tap. It keeps the page short on phones.
  • Do not hide important information only in the FAQ. Prices and timelines should also be visible higher on the page.

FAQ in several languages

On a site with Armenian, Russian and English versions, translate the FAQ properly, and adapt questions where needed. Expats ask different things than locals, for example about payment in foreign currency or communication in English.

Example: FAQ for a dry cleaning service

To make this concrete, here is what a strong FAQ might contain for a furniture cleaning business in Yerevan:

  1. How long does a sofa take? Usually two to four hours on site, depending on size.
  2. When can we sit on it? After it dries, typically within a few hours with ventilation.
  3. Will stains come out completely? Most do. Some old stains can only be lightened, and we say so before starting.
  4. Is it safe for kids and pets? Explain which products you use.
  5. Do you come to my district? List the areas you serve and any travel fee.
  6. How do I pay? Cash, card or transfer after the work.

Each answer is short, specific and honest. Notice how answer 3 manages expectations: that kind of honesty reduces complaints later.

Keep it alive

Review the FAQ every few months. New questions appear when you add services, change prices or reach a new audience. Remove questions nobody asks anymore. A living FAQ is a small task that keeps paying back in fewer calls.

FAQ

Common questions

All questions and answers

How many questions should an FAQ have?

Usually five to ten per page. Enough to cover real doubts, not so many that the important ones get lost.

Where do I find the right questions?

In your messages and calls. Write down every question customers ask more than once over two weeks.

Should FAQ answers be short?

Yes. Start with the direct answer in one sentence, then add one or two sentences of detail if needed.

Does an FAQ help SEO?

It helps pages match long questions people type into search and gives AI assistants clear answers to quote, especially with FAQ structured data.

Should every page have its own FAQ?

Service pages benefit from their own specific questions. A general FAQ page can cover company-wide topics like payment and delivery.
