More people now ask an AI assistant instead of typing a search query: "Where can I get a website made in Yerevan?" or "Which clinic in Armenia does dental implants and speaks English?". The assistant answers with a few names. Getting your business into that short list is what GEO is about.
How AI assistants pick what to mention
Search-connected assistants look up the web and summarize what they find. They tend to quote pages that:
- State facts plainly: services, prices, location, hours, languages.
- Answer common questions directly.
- Are consistent with other sources (maps, directories, social profiles).
- Are accessible to their crawlers.
Marketing fluff gives them nothing to quote. "We are the best and most professional" is not a fact.
Quotable versus vague
| Vague | Quotable |
|---|---|
| "Affordable prices" | "Landing page $700, launch in about 6 days" |
| "Located in the center" | "Kentron, Yerevan, near Republic Square" |
| "We speak your language" | "Service in Armenian, Russian and English" |
| "Fast response" | "Reply within 15 minutes, 10:00 to 20:00" |
Rewriting key pages in the right column is the single biggest GEO improvement.
Practical checklist
- A short summary at the top of key pages. Two or three sentences with facts.
- Prices and timelines in a table. Tables are easy to extract.
- FAQ with direct answers. One or two sentences each.
- Structured data. Organization, services, prices, FAQ in JSON-LD.
- llms.txt. A plain-text file at the root summarizing the business for AI tools.
- robots.txt that allows AI crawlers. GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended.
- Consistent profiles. Same name, address and contacts on Google Maps, Instagram and the site.
- Content in every language you serve. Assistants answer in the user's language and prefer sources in it.
Why language matters in Armenia
A user asking in Russian gets an answer built from Russian sources; in English, from English ones. A Yerevan business with only an Armenian site is invisible to English and Russian questions. Separate language versions fix that. Read about multilingual websites.
What not to do
- Do not stuff pages with keywords for "AI". It reads badly for people and machines.
- Do not invent reviews, awards or statistics. Assistants increasingly cross-check, and customers do too.
- Do not hide key information in images or PDFs only.
