A dry cleaner gets the same three calls all day: "How much for a coat?", "Can you pick up today?", "Is my order ready?". The third one is the most annoying, because the answer is usually "not yet". A Telegram bot for a dry cleaner in Armenia answers all three without anyone picking up the phone, and clients get the "ready" message the moment the order is done.
Three jobs for the bot
1. Prices. A price list by category: outerwear, suits and dresses, carpets, curtains, shoes, leather, wedding dresses. Clients look up the price and decide before calling.
2. Pickup. The client books a courier: date, time window, address or location pin, approximate list of items. The request lands in the staff chat.
3. Statuses. Staff press buttons as the order moves. The client receives a message at each important step.
Statuses that matter to clients
| Status | Who sets it | What the client receives |
|---|---|---|
| Pickup booked | Bot, after confirmation | Date, window, courier contact |
| Collected | Courier | List of items and receipt number |
| Inspected | Receiver | Final price, notes on stains or damage |
| Ready | Workshop | "Your order is ready", pickup hours, delivery option |
| Delivered or collected | Courier or receiver | Thank you, review link |
The "Inspected" step deserves attention. If a stain may not come out or a fabric is risky, the client hears it before work starts, in writing. This prevents most disputes.
Pricing: honest ranges
Simple items have fixed prices. Others depend on condition:
- Shirts, trousers, jackets: fixed.
- Coats and down jackets: fixed by length or type.
- Carpets: per square meter.
- Leather, suede, fur, wedding dresses: from a price, confirmed after inspection.
- Stain removal: separate line, depends on the stain.
Show prices in AMD and add "final price after inspection" where needed. A price calculator approach works for carpets and curtains, where size defines the cost.
Pickup and delivery zones
Courier service is often what sets a dry cleaner apart. Define zones clearly:
| Zone | Example | Pickup fee |
|---|---|---|
| Near the shop | Same district | Free or low |
| Central Yerevan | Kentron, Arabkir, Nor Nork | Fixed fee |
| Outer districts | Other districts | Higher fee |
| Free above order value | All Yerevan | Free above a threshold |
The bot shows the fee after the client sends an address or picks a district. The idea is the same as delivery zones in an online store.
Seasonal moments to use
- Spring. Winter coats, down jackets and blankets before storage. Send a reminder to past clients.
- Before holidays. Suits, dresses, tablecloths.
- Autumn. Carpets and curtains before the heating season.
- Wedding season. Wedding dresses and suits after the event.
A short message to clients who used the service last season works better than a general ad.
Messages that save calls
Write these texts once:
- How long cleaning takes for each category.
- What to check in pockets before handing over.
- What happens if an item is not collected in time.
- Payment options: cash, card, online link.
- Working hours on weekends and holidays.
Handling disputes calmly
Damaged buttons, a stain that did not come out, a shrunken sweater. Every dry cleaner faces these. The bot helps because it keeps a written trail:
- The inspection note with the client's acknowledgment sits in the chat history.
- Photos taken at intake can be sent to the client before work starts.
- The client can press "I have a problem with my order", and the message reaches the manager with the order number, not a general inbox.
A calm, documented process turns most complaints into a quick conversation instead of a public review.
Staff side
Everything runs through one Telegram chat for staff. Each order is a message with buttons. Couriers see only pickups and deliveries; receivers see inspections and ready orders. Owners can see the whole list. If you already book other services through Telegram, the setup is similar to a Telegram booking bot.
Bot plus website
People search Google for "dry cleaning Yerevan" or "carpet cleaning with pickup". A cleaning service website with prices and a "Book pickup in Telegram" button captures them and sends them to the bot. See how it looks in our dry cleaning demo.
Launch steps
- Prepare the price list by category in AMD.
- Define pickup zones and fees.
- Decide who presses which status button.
- Write the client messages for each status.
- Test one full order: booking, pickup, inspection, ready, delivery.
