The moment a website goes live, business owners usually ask the same thing: "Do I now have to pay every month?" The honest answer is: it depends on how you use the site. Some sites need almost no attention, others break quietly if nobody watches them. Here is what support really means and how to decide.
What website support includes
"Support" is a vague word, so let us break it into parts.
Technical care - Regular backups, so a mistake or a hosting failure does not wipe the site. - Security and software updates for the server, libraries and plugins. - Uptime monitoring, so you learn about downtime from us, not from a customer. - Checking that the contact form and Telegram notifications still deliver requests.
Content help - Updating prices, phone numbers, working hours. - Replacing photos, adding a new service or a seasonal offer. - Small layout changes, like a new banner or block.
Not usually included - A full redesign. - New large features such as an online store or a client portal. Those are separate projects.

When you need it
| Your situation | Support needed? |
|---|---|
| One-page landing, info rarely changes | Usually not |
| Site is your main source of leads | Yes, at least monitoring |
| Online store with daily product changes | Yes |
| Multi-language site you update often | Yes, or an admin panel |
| Seasonal business with busy months | Support during the season |
The risk is not that the site disappears overnight. It is that something small breaks, for example form notifications stop arriving after a messenger update, and you lose requests for two weeks before anyone notices.
Editing yourself vs support
Many owners in Yerevan prefer to change texts and prices themselves. That is fine and cheaper. A simple admin panel lets you edit content without touching code. Support then only covers the technical side: updates, backups and fixing anything that breaks.

What it costs at Kinto
- Six months of support: $900.
- Hosting and domain: paid separately at the provider's price, registered to you.
- Development itself is paid once, and the final quote is fixed in the contract before we start.
You can see all prices on our pricing page and how projects are built on website development.
Who owns what
This matters more than the support plan itself. With Kinto the domain, hosting account and site files are yours. If you stop support, the site keeps working, and you can bring in any developer later. Avoid agreements where the agency holds the domain "for convenience". It turns a support contract into a hostage situation.
Signs your site needs attention now
Even without a support plan, watch for these warnings:
- The browser shows "Not secure" next to your address. The HTTPS certificate expired or was never set up.
- Requests from the form stopped arriving, but customers say they sent them.
- The site got noticeably slower after adding photos or a new section.
- Google Search Console sends emails about errors or pages that cannot be indexed.
- Something looks broken on phones after a browser update.
Each of these is usually a small fix if caught early, and an expensive one if ignored for months.
Support for a seasonal business
Not every business needs year-round support. A tour operator, a summer café or a wedding service in Armenia has busy months and quiet months. It is sensible to take support for the season, when the site brings the most money and every lost request hurts, and pause it in the off-season. Before the season starts, do a check: prices, photos, availability, forms, speed.
How to hand a site over between developers
If you ever move to another developer, make sure you have:
- Access to the domain registrar account.
- Access to the hosting or server.
- The site files or the code repository.
- Logins for the admin panel, analytics and Search Console.
- A short note about any integrations: Telegram bot, CRM, payments.
With these five things, any competent developer can take over in a day.
A simple rule
If losing your website for a week would cost you real money, have someone watching it. If not, save the budget and check the form yourself once a month: send a test request and make sure it arrives.
