Most website projects in small businesses are not slowed down by design or code. They wait for material: the price list nobody finalized, the photos still on someone's phone, the English text "coming next week". If you prepare content for the website before you order it, the work moves at the studio's pace, not at the pace of your inbox.
This article is about the material itself. For describing what you want from the site, use our website brief template. The two together make a project run smoothly.
Create one shared folder
Make one folder in Google Drive or a similar service and give the studio access. Inside, six subfolders:
| Folder | What goes in | Common gap |
|---|---|---|
| 01 Logo and brand | Logo files (vector if possible), colors, fonts if you have them | Only a blurry PNG from Instagram |
| 02 Texts | Notes or drafts per page, FAQ | "We'll write it later" |
| 03 Prices | Services with prices in AMD, what's included | Prices "depend on the case" |
| 04 Photos | Space, team, work, products | Dark photos, or only stock |
| 05 Contacts and access | Address, hours, phones, messengers, domain access | Domain on someone else's name |
| 06 References | Sites you like, and what exactly you like | Links without comments |
01 Logo and brand
- Logo in the best quality you have. Ask whoever made it for SVG, PDF or AI files.
- If there is no logo, say so. A clean text logo is fine for a start.
- Colors: if you have a brandbook, add it. If not, two or three screenshots of things that feel like "you".
02 Texts: facts, not polished prose
You do not have to be a writer. The studio needs facts:
- About you: how long you've worked, where, for whom, what makes you different, in plain words.
- Each service: what it is, who it's for, how it goes step by step, how long it takes.
- FAQ: write down the questions customers ask in Telegram and on the phone. Ten real questions are worth more than any slogan.
- Guarantees and terms: refunds, delivery, payment methods.
If the site will have Armenian, Russian and English versions, decide now who translates. Machine translation without review is visible to native readers. Our article on a multilingual website in Armenia explains how to organize it.
03 Prices
This is where most projects stall. Decide:
- Which prices you show exactly, which as "from", which not at all.
- In which currency: AMD for locals, USD or EUR additionally if you work with tourists or clients abroad.
- What each price includes.
Even ranges are better than nothing. Visitors without prices often leave to compare elsewhere.
04 Photos
Collect what you have and mark the best ones. Rules:
- Real photos of your place, team and work beat stock images.
- Daylight, clean background, horizontal for the first screen.
- Product photos on the same background.
- Do not send screenshots from Instagram. Send the original files.
If you lack photos, plan one short session for the first screen, the team and three to five key services.
05 Contacts and access
- Address with a landmark ("next to the metro exit", "courtyard entrance from the street side").
- Opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Phone, Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber: only those you actually answer.
- Who should receive requests in Telegram: one person or a staff chat.
- Domain. If you already own one, prepare access to the registrar account. Check that it is registered to you or your company. Read who owns your website and the .am domain guide if you are unsure.
- Social media links and the Google Maps profile.
06 References
Add two or three sites you like, from any country and any industry, with one comment each: "I like how prices are shown here", "I like the calm colors". Comments matter more than links.
A ready-to-start checklist
- Logo files in the folder.
- List of services with prices or ranges.
- Notes for each main page and 10 FAQ questions.
- 15 to 30 real photos, best ones marked.
- Contacts and opening hours confirmed.
- Domain access or a decision to register a new one.
- Person responsible for approving texts named.
- Translators named, if the site is multilingual.
Why this saves money
Studios price by scope, but delays cost too: a project that waits for content takes the team's attention twice. With material ready, a landing page at Kinto takes about 6 days and a multi-page site about 12. Prices start at $700 and $1,800; see the full list on the pricing page.
